Sisal, a small fishing village on Mexico's Gulf Coast in Yucatan, is home to one of the most unique travel experiences in the country: a full picnic table set up on a sandbank in the middle of the sea.
🌊 WHAT IS THE FLOATING PICNIC
During low tide, a sandbank appears in the middle of the turquoise sea near Sisal's port. We install a complete table, chairs, and a full meal right there, so you sit with your feet in the water while you eat.
🚤 HOW THE TOUR WORKS
The experience starts with a boat ride of about 25-30 minutes from Sisal's port, followed by the picnic itself, a mangrove tour by canoe, and snorkeling in a freshwater cenote-like spring.
✅ WE ARE THE ORIGINAL CREATORS
Sisal Expeditions designed this concept from scratch — before us, this type of floating picnic experience did not exist in Sisal.
